Who can attend a Frontline Yoga session?
Frontline Yoga classes are FREE to all Frontline Professionals.
Current and ex-servicing Police, Fire, Ambulance, Military, Healthcare workers, Lifesavers, RFS, SES and Volunteer Paramedics. Frontline Professionals can also bring one support person or family member at no cost.
Additional supporters and the public are also welcome by donation.
What is a Frontline Yoga session?
Frontline Yoga delivers accessible classes that are taught with an awareness of trauma and are suitable for anyone with chronic stress, depression, anxiety or PTSD.
The classes focus on developing Resilience, Strength and Connection.
- Resilience – both emotional and psychological to deal with the ongoing challenges and uncertainty of service on the front line.
- Strength – developing both physical and mental strength, to continue facing the rigours of service on the front line or return to full function after injury or illness.
- Connection – reinforcing connection between breath and movement, body and mind, Frontline Professional and the community they serve.
Classes are suitable for all ages and ability levels.
What if I’ve never done Yoga before?
Our teachers are experienced in providing accessible yoga that is perfect for beginners. You can participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
How do I attend a session?
Click the Book Now button above. You can create an account to make booking in easier the next time if you like. If it’s your first Frontline Yoga class please complete the health form, also found on the booking page.
What do I wear or bring to the session?
Wear something comfortable that allows you to move. A T-shirt and shorts or similar is all you need, no runners opt for something you can slip off easily.
You might like to bring your own mat but we have spares if you need them.
